You’ll Never Believe Why This Father Disinherited His Son

I knew a guy once whose father had disinherited him, and when he told me the reason, I thought he was having me on.

And when I tell you what he told me, you’ll probably think I’m having you on.

Anyway, according to the guy, his father and mother had been living together for more than twenty years without getting married, and he thought it was about time his father made an honest woman out of his mother. So he started to nag his father to do the right thing.

Eventually, his father relented and married his mother.

Six months later, they were divorced. And not only divorced, but estranged and living apart as well.

The guy’s father blamed him for ruining what had been, up until the time of the wedding, a perfectly happy relationship — and disinherited him forthwith.

The adage, “No good deed goes unpunished” certainly kicked in with a vengeance there.

An article I just read, reminded me of that story.

Men and Women Who Hate Having Sex

Believe it or not, there are many able-bodied men and women of all ages around the world who have no interest whatsoever in participating in “bedroom antics.”

It’s not, however, that they don’t appreciate a close relationship with someone special.

They do. They really do.

Just as long as there’s no copulation involved—the very idea of which is repugnant to them for various reasons.

Many Over-the-Counter Medications Linked to Irreversible Dementia

According to the findings of new research, long term use of over-the-counter medications could cause permanent dementia.

Pet scans have revealed that the brains of older adults who took some of these medications for years had actually shrunk.

Sure enough, that sounds like permanent damage.

Specifically, they’re referring to long-term use of an “antihistamine known as diphenhydramine, which is commonly sold as Benadryl and included in many over-the-counter medications for cold and allergies.”

The counter-argument, of course, is that the “active ingredients are approved by the FDA and recognized as safe and effective when taken as instructed.”

You can decide for yourself about that.
